CVS Health Assets FAQs

Q. What is CVS Health Assets?
A.
CVS Health Assets is the newest digital asset library, replacing the existing tool, ADAM. CVS Health Assets is powered by Adobe’s Experience Manager as a Cloud Service. CVS Assets provides the capability of storing, editing and sourcing brand-appropriate, rights managed photos, videos and other digital assets for your marketing or communications projects.

Q. When did CVS Health Assets go live?
A.
CVS Health Assets made its official debut to the Enterprise on December 1st, 2021.

Q. What was ADAM and why is it no longer available?
A.
ADAM is a software platform powered by Aprimo, and is our legacy asset library tool. We made the decision to upgrade our library to the newest asset management technology by moving to Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud. ADAM was officially decommissioned on December 27th, 2021.

Q: If I had access to ADAM before, will I automatically have access to CVS Health Assets?
A.
Access is not automatically transfered over if you had an account previously with ADAM. All users are required to re-request their access due to new licensing guidelines.

Q: Will all assets from ADAM be available in CVS Health Assets?
A.
Yes all assets from ADAM (previous DAM) will be available on CVS Health Assets. At this time we are still moving content over so you may not see everything right away.

Q: Will assets from ADAM retain their ADAM Asset ID number?
A. We will be able to keep that information located in a field labeled 'Legacy ADAM Name' - this will allow users to search the ADAM asset ID number in CVS Health Assets.

Q. Do I need any special software to use CVS Health Assets?
A. No, there is no software required to use this platform. It is a cloud-based (web-based) application.

Q. Who can access CVS Health Assets?
A.
Any colleague or approved third-party is able to gain access. Use of the platform does not require users to be in a specific job role.

Q. Will users requesting access be billed back for their license?

A. Yes, the CVS Health Assets and Retail Marketing Leadership teams have made the decision to bill back the cost of a license to the colleague’s department cost center. This decision was made due to the increasing volume of access requests and the cost of licenses.

All colleagues working with external third-parties will also be required to cover the cost of each license needed. Please see the above guide on obtaining access for more details on the billback process.

Q. When will I receive training?
A.
